Advocacy

Early childhood educators in family child care homes and child care centers – are you Joining Voices? Come be a part of it!

Prince George’s Child Resource Center envisions vibrant, healthy communities where individuals and families care, support and advocate for each other and invest in creating opportunities for children to develop strong, successful life paths.

Joining Voices brings together our community’s early childhood educators to advocate for children, families, and the field. We work together on ideas for local, state and even federal action. We share stories with one another – and with elected officials!

We’re hosted by the Resource Center but driven by you and your needs in family child care homes and child care centers.

People are making decisions about you, your programs and your families at the federal level in Congress and the Administration; at the state level in our General Assembly and at MSDE; and at our county level. We are working together to press Congress to invest in child care. By sharing our experiences and needs in Maryland, we can help state partners to create and deliver on the things that matter most. County leaders stepped forward to invest in child care programs, seeing first-hand how crucial you are. We can keep up all of this good work and more.

Please come be a part of it. Sign up to get invitations and our Friday Five newsletter, and to hear the latest opportunities and to connect to this important work! There’s something for everyone whether advocacy is new to you or you have lots of experience, or you’re somewhere in between.
