Healthy Families Prince George's , based at the Adelphi/Langley Park Family Support Center, is a collaborative program that serves first-time expecting women under 25 years of age. As part of Healthy Families America, a national program of Prevent Child Abuse America, this voluntary program has three goals:

• To promote positive parenting;
• To encourage child health and development; and
• To prevent child abuse and neglect.

Through home visiting by trained staff, Healthy Families strives to provide families with the opportunity to receive the education and support they need at the time their baby is born, and works with the family until the child's fifth birthday.
