Harvey Maisel

HARVEY B. MAISEL has been active in the development of commercial and residential real estate in the Greater Washington area since 1973. Mr. Maisel, a Viet Nam veteran, started in real estate as a property manager for commercial and multi-family properties for Federal Realty Investment Trust.  From 1973 through 1975 Mr. Maisel was engaged as a developer of a 93-acre tract in Hagerstown, Maryland for the construction of housing under the Farmers’ Home Administration Program and in the development of a 143-acre residential property located in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Between 1983 and 2004, until his partner retired, Maisel was a partner in Maisel-Hollins Development Company, Inc. which specialized in the development of innovative retail, condo office/warehouses and self-storage facilities, primarily in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties in Maryland.  Other projects have included: warehouses and warehouse condominiums, retail centers, and land for residential, office and commercial uses.  Since 2004, when Mr. Maisel founded Maisel Development Company, he has created a number of innovative retail and commercial developments.
