Kay Taub

Kay Taub has been focused on connecting children to nature for the past 34 years. After receiving her degree in entomology from the University of Georgia, she worked for the Nature Conservancy, and was later appointed as Director of the Insect Zoo at the Smithsonian’s Museum of Natural History. Since 1998, she has been operating “Incredible Insects”, an interactive program for children in public and private elementary schools throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area. Through this program, children are introduced to live insects and other arthropods in a manner that reduces any discomfort or fear, and focuses on the importance of the insects to our ecosystem.
