KEYNOTE SPEAKER: DR. ABILA TAZANU-LEGALL, M.D.
Abila Tazanu-Legall, M.D. is the founder and executive director of the One World Center for Autism, Inc. She is a board certified general pediatrician who prior to her current position, worked as a Clinical Associate at Children’s National Medical Center, in Washington, D.C. providing school based healthcare for children with special needs. She has also worked in private practice in the community and as a hospitalist and emergency room pediatrician at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Tazanu received her B.S. in Microbiology and her Doctorate of Medicine from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She completed her pediatric residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital/ University of Virginia. A native of Washington, D.C. , raised by parents who immigrated from West Africa and the Caribbean, she now resides in Laurel, M.D with her husband and five children, three of whom have autism. Her personal struggle to identify and support her own children created the vision for the One World Center for Autism, Inc. and continues to fuel her passion to help individuals living with autism and related special needs. Her vision is to create a standard of centralized care for all individuals on the spectrum which incorporates family support, community awareness, and comprehensive medical and therapeutic interventions.
Participants will earn 6 Core of Knowledge Hours.

- $25 service fee for returned checks
- We love children but only adults will be admitted to the Institute
- To receive a certificate of completion, participants must stay until the end of the day
