The COVID-19 (coronavirus) is making for a scary time for many in our community. Information is coming at us rapidly, and it may feel like what to do keeps changing. The Governor directed all Maryland schools to close, but this does not include private child care programs. At this time, the decision to stay open or to close is up to each child care program.
Out of concern for the health and safety of all of our communities, Prince George’s Child Resource Center, Inc. has made the proactive decision to follow the lead of Prince George’s County Public Schools and our offices will be closed effective immediately until March 27, 2020.
This situation is constantly evolving, and we will be in communication with all stakeholders if we have to close the office beyond this date. Please note that there are no known cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) that have impacted the Resource Center community at this time. All in-person programming organization-wide has been suspended or will be conducted virtually when appropriate.
We’re all looking at our practices so that we’re supporting one another without putting anyone at risk for spreading this virus as best we can. Let’s stick together and support one another with patience and care.
