Important Child Care Support Details for Greatness Grows Here

The Office of the County Executive and Child Resource Connect is pleased to announce the exploration of child care supports for registered parents and caregivers who plan to attend the conference in-person and reside in Prince George’s County (not available to child care providers). On-site child care and child care expense grants are the options being considered to help support parent and guardian attendance to this event.

For parents and guardians with young infants, you are welcome to bring your babies to parent-designated sessions and the plenary. However, parents will need to hold or “wear” their infants – strollers will not be permitted due to space constraints.

For children over the age of 3 and who are potty-trained, free, on-site child care will likely be made available. If offered, on-site child care will be managed by Sanbridge Early Learning Center. The Office of the County Executive and Child Resource Connect assume no liability and no guarantee related to the services offered by Sanbridge Early Learning Center. Conference participants who register for on-site child care services accept full responsibility and risk, and must remain on the premises while their child is in care. Sandbridge will confirm availability individually based on licensing ratios. Availability will be considered in the order that submissions are received. All snacks, drinks, and meals for the children left in the care of Sandbridge must be provided by the parent/guardian. If you are interested in on-site child care, please indicate your interest by selecting “yes” below.

Financial support may be available as an alternative to the discussed on-site care in order to help offset the cost of individually-arranged child care services. To receive a child care expense grant in the amount of $50, you must participate in at least 3 conference sessions (a morning workshop, an afternoon workshop, and the opening keynote). Session attendance will be verified on-site the day of the event. If you are interested in receiving a child care expense grant in the amount of $50 to help defray the cost of child care services, you must register for the conference and select “yes” in the appropriate section. If offered, grants will be administered on a first-come, first serve basis at the event site on June 3rd until the funding runs out.

Participants will not be eligible for child care expense grants if on-site child care is used. Only one of the two potential options can be selected. Unfortunately, if you select yes for both options, we cannot honor either request.
