On July 1, was honored to become only the second Executive Director of Prince George’s Child Resource Center. As you know, our beloved Founding Executive Director, Marti Worshtil, retired after more than 25 years at the helm. Her legacy will continue as we work together to ensure a strong, vibrant, professional community of early childhood educators.
While I am new to this role, I am not new to the Resource Center. Since my first day fifteen years ago, I have had the privilege to work in a variety of positions that have allowed me to experience first-hand the incredible contribution that you are making to our communities. You have worked hard to become licensed, quality child care centers and family child care homes. You allow parents to go off to work every day, feeling confident that their children are safe. You are helping children enter kindergarten ready to learn. You are enhancing school-age children’s learning experiences and preparing them to be successful in life.
I am looking forward to working with all of you in the coming years, and look forward to joining together with you to make a difference for children and families. And I’ll see you at the conference on October 22!
