Holiday Helper – Will You Help?

Forgive me – I know statistics put many to sleep but bear with me. This is one statistic that just might keep you awake. According to the Prince George’s County Health Department 22,442 children in the county are living in poverty. As we head into the holidays we can assume that many of these children will not sit down to a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving or receive a Christmas, Kwanza or Hanukkah present in December. Their families are struggling and the holidays are just another struggle in their daily lives.

As part of the Resource Center’s 25th celebration our staff and board members have committed to help even more families this season. If you, your neighbors, your co-workers, your house of worship want to join us, we welcome your help. Bring joy to the 22,442 children who face a bleak holiday season. Please contact our co-worker Ana at 301-432-6210 ext.1100 or

From a grocery gift card to an entire meal; from one doll to gifts for an entire family, whatever you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Thank you from the Resource Center family.
