Let’s Fight for Health Insurance: Say NO to The Graham-Cassidy Bill

In a whirlwind effort to (again) try to dismantle the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), the Graham-Cassidy bill will be considered this week on the Senate floor.

The passing of this health care bill would be disastrous.

The Graham-Cassidy bill gives funds to the states and allows them to decide how and for whom the monies would be spent. Essentially, states would have to come up with their own health care plans and policies. They are not required to offer all residents the same health care choices, if they are offered at all. There will be cuts to Medicaid, higher insurance premiums and health care costs, and denied coverage due to pre-existing conditions.

This is another attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act and replace it with harmful ideas that would have a tremendous impact on the lives of many who are already struggling financially, leaving many children, families, the early childhood workforce, Veterans, senior citizens, and people with disabilities without the health care they need for years to come.

Let’s all work together to make sure this does not happen.
