Tianya Edgerton

Title: President, Tianya Edgerton Insurance and Financial Services, Inc.

I am a proud State Farm Agency owner and a 16-year veteran in the financial services and insurance
industry. Throughout my tenure, I served in multiple officer level positions at two international financial
institutions. During that time, I became Vice President, graduated from the Leadership Development
Program, became a Licensed Securities Agent in Life and Health Insurance and worked on the
Commercial team.

An alumnus of Winston Salem State University, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Administration with a concentrated focus in Management. I am committed to adding financial value
into the lives of others.

Currently I serve as President Emeritus of the Board of Directors for the Prince George’s Child Resource
Center, Committee Co-Chair with Leadership Prince George’s, and an active Board Member for the
College of Business at Bowie State University in which I co-founded an annual program, “Financial
Services Day” formerly known as “Banker’s Day” and served as Committee Chair for the Pillars of
Success Awards Program in 2017.

Since opening my agency, I have received numerous awards to include Chairman’s Circle, Honor Club,
SVP Club, and Ambassador Travel, to name a few. I am the first African American woman in the Eastern
Market area to open a second State Farm Agency. I believe in going above and beyond for my team, my
customers, and my community.

My balance is my love for Christ, my loving family, playing volleyball, traveling, and spending time with
family and friends. I firmly believe that all things are possible.
