Dr.  Ahlishia Shipley is a strategist and educator with deep expertise in organizational capacity building, program management, and building partnerships. A former USDA leader, she managed over $350M in federal investments to address family life, health disparities and rural development. As founder of AJS Relationship Strategies, she partners with nonprofits to strengthen internal capacity, align strategy, and build equity-centered teams. With a Ph.D. in Family Studies and a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) designation, Dr. Shipley brings a practical, people-first approach to helping mission-driven organizations thrive.

Proficient educator with a background in higher education, community-based education, university teaching, family and public policy, community health and well-being, and presenting to diverse audiences and clientele through multiple modes of delivery.

In the event of inclement weather: CRC relies on Prince George's County Public Schools' (PGCPS) inclement weather policy to determine delayed openings, early closure, and full closure due to inclement weather.

Color codes are issued by PGCPS, available at pgcps.org and any local news site listing inclement weather delays and closings:

  • Code Red/Yellow: CRC offices are closed, and ALL staff are on leave.
  • Code Green: Staff are expected to work virtually (Offices are closed, and staff are not in the field) and follow regular work hours unless adjusted by program needs.
  • Code Orange/Blue (Delayed Opening): Staff are expected to begin work at 10am.
