Position: Chief of Staff
Categories: Leadership

Nathalie hails from Queens, New York and is a first generation American of Haitian heritage. She attended Spelman College (BA | English) and Mercer University (M.A.T | Teaching) in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned a graduate certificate in French studies from Université de Poitiers in France.

Nathalie joined Prince George’s Child Resource Center (PGCRC) in early 2021, as the Director for Family Support Prince George’s in early 2021, assuming the role after the 2020 passing of the beloved former Director Danitza Simpson. In June 2022, she was promoted to Chief of Staff of PGCRC, now doing business as Child Resource Connect (CRC).

Prior to joining CRC, Nathalie had an extensive background in early childhood education and advocacy work for immigrant children and their families. After leaving the public school setting, she worked as a consultant where she coached and empowered women and youth as they navigated through painful life interruptions. She speaks four languages, including Spanish, French, and Haitian Creole. Most recently, she earned a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate at the Center for Public and Nonprofit Leadership from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy.

Nathalie’s best piece of advice is to BE YOURSELF! No one else can do what you can, the way you can do it- so use that gift in your unique way.

In the event of inclement weather: CRC relies on Prince George's County Public Schools' (PGCPS) inclement weather policy to determine delayed openings, early closure, and full closure due to inclement weather.

Color codes are issued by PGCPS, available at pgcps.org and any local news site listing inclement weather delays and closings:

  • Code Red/Yellow: CRC offices are closed, and ALL staff are on leave.
  • Code Green: Staff are expected to work virtually (Offices are closed, and staff are not in the field) and follow regular work hours unless adjusted by program needs.
  • Code Orange/Blue (Delayed Opening): Staff are expected to begin work at 10am.
