Our Child Care Support Services team continues to make meaningful strides in supporting early childhood educators and providers across the five counties we serve: Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Prince George’s, and St. Mary’s.
This month, members of our team, including Chief of Staff Nathalie Coward, Program Manager Germaine Adams, and Early Childhood Coach Stacey King, attended Maryland Family Network‘s Day in Annapolis. This important advocacy event brings together early childhood leaders, educators, and stakeholders to connect with legislators and elevate the needs of children, families, and child care providers across Maryland. We are proud to take part in conversations that help shape a stronger future for early childhood education.
We were excited to welcome Bobby Brennan from Lakeshore Learning Materials to our Southern Maryland Directors Roundtable. Bobby shared helpful resources available to providers, including Lakeshore’s Sampling Program. Through this opportunity, providers can submit a wishlist of classroom materials, and selected items may be sent directly to their child care center at no cost, helping bring new learning materials into classrooms in a simple and supportive way.

We are also pleased to continue offering CDA Credential Support for providers pursuing or renewing their Child Development Associate credential. Through personalized, one-on-one coaching with a Coach/Technical Assistance Specialist, participants receive guidance through the application and renewal process. Financial assistance and credentialing resources are available, with up to $640 in support per participant.
We remain committed to connecting providers with advocacy opportunities, professional development, credentialing support, and classroom resources that strengthen the quality of early childhood education across our regions.
