We know how important family is in every child’s life. For Mother’s Day, the Resource Center celebrated mothers- and aunts, grandmothers, sisters, and friends- because without them, where would we be?
Join us in celebrating these women who were honored.
“Healthy Families gives me the confidence that I need to be the best mommy for my son.†– Gracie, Healthy Families Prince George’s participant
Gracie learned about the Resource Center’s Healthy Families program before her son, Dajour Jr., was born. As first-time parents, Gracie and Dajour Sr. knew they needed support and welcomed Marilyn, Family Support Worker, into their home. Now during weekly visits,
Gracie and Dajour eagerly take advantage of information and resources that will help them be the very best parents.
Gracie was proud to earn her high school diploma in 2013. She currently has two part-time jobs and plans to enroll at Prince George’s Community College in the fall. Gracie continues to set and achieve goals for herself and her family. Marilyn is so impressed with the progress of this young family and their eagerness to learn how to provide a healthy and nurturing environment for Dajour, Jr., now seven months old!
Help us celebrate Gracie and other great moms like her.
With your help we will continue to create healthy and nurturing en
vironments for children by supporting their families and educating their caregivers. But we can’t do it alone! Please help by making a contribution today.
Thank you for your support!
