HOLIDAY HELPER ALERT 2014
Families throughout Prince George’s County are hurting in these challenging times. This holiday season will be exceptionally difficult for many families in our community.
Here are two ways you can help bring hope by becoming a HOLIDAY HELPER:
1. Adopt a Local Family
We will send you details including families’ individualized “wish lists” with ages of children, clothing sizes, etc. to help you compile your donations. Generally, suggestions will include:
• Gift card to a local grocery store. Since we serve families from different cultures, a gift card will allow them to celebrate their own holiday traditions.
• New warm clothing items such as coats, jackets, hats and gloves for parents and children.
• Educational toys and books for children.
We request that items be delivered to the Adelphi/Langley Park Family Support Center by
Monday, December 15 (address below).
2. Consider a financial contribution to the Resource Center
You can make a secure donation and find out more at www.childresource.org.
We welcome partnerships with the community to make a difference this holiday season. Our families need so much and we are incredibly grateful to you for your help and generosity. We couldn’t do it without you!
