In the Maryland General Assembly this year, HB 1139 and SB 882 call for making GOFCC permanent in law (currently, it is officially only a “pilot” project) and mandating an annual appropriation of funds.
Good news: the Senate AND House budget includes an investment for FY25 for GOFCC!
More good news: the Senate said YES and approved SB 882!

The House of Delegates needs to want this as much as we do, and you can help. Here is our request:
Action 1: your written testimony is your story and there is a hearing coming up!
There will be a hearing in the House Ways and Means Committee on Wednesday, March 27. They welcome written testimony and we can submit it online, which is great. The rule is important: testimony must be and can only be submitted on Monday, March 25 between 8 AM and 6 PM.
